QSB’s Steve Sousa among Top 40 under 40™
Posted by William C on June 24th, 2011
QSB grad Steve Sousa, MBA’11, is one of three Queen’s alumni to take a spot this year in the prestigious Top 40 under 40™, a national program founded and managed by the Caldwell Partners honouring Canadians under the age of 40 who have reached a significant level of success.
President and Chief Operating Officer of SaskTel International, Sousa sells the services of Saskatchewan’s telecommunications firm around the world.
With over a decade at the company, Sousa worked his way up to his current position in 2008 where he has seen the company grow from 60 to 103 employees and increase software division revenues by $5-million.
At current revenues of $16-million, Sousa’s goal to make SaskTel a $25-million company in five years drove him to pursue his MBA at Queen’s School of Business this past year. He understood that achieving continued success in a global economy with partners in locations as diverse as Botswana and Argentina would require a business education with a global perspective.
Steve is joined on the Top 40 list by Queen’s alumni Leonard Brody, Artsci’93 and Natasha Sharpe, NSc’93, MA’95.
